Narodni muzej Crne Gore - National Museum of Montenegro / Infokiosk

Contemporay art gallery Atelje DADO in Cetinje, was founded in 2002., and has until now became one of the most important promoters of contemporary art in Montenegro. It is part of the National Museum of Montenegro, located in space that once was atelier of Miodrag Đurić Dado, at King Nikola's Square, in the very center of the city. With its programs and conceptions oriented towards exhibitions and promotions of some of the most important artists in the region, and wider, the gallery has became important point for promoting art in Montenegro.

By forming Artistic council new organizational structure has been formed that will enable adittional segments within the programs, with the goal to make new contacts and gallery's networking in regional system of promotion contemporary art, which will make possible more possibilities in bringing artists, teoretians as well as establishing of the program Artists in residence.

We invite all the authors interested to apply to open competition to exhibit in Atelje DADO Gallery in the year 2011.

1. data about the artist: biography, data for contact (phone and mail address)

- reproduction of the art work(s) in electronic form (JPG, min 1000hx1000w p or PDF),

- simple simulation of the exhibition within the gallery space if it is an installation (images of the gallery and dimensions can be found on our web page)

- one part of the realization of the project, if the costs exceed 500 € one work stays in the gallery's collection

- travel and stay of the artist comming from abbroad during the preparation of the show

- design and print of the promotional material (invitation card, catalog, poster) and PR activities

TERMS OF APPLICATION . National Museum of Montenegro Atelier DADO Gallery We invite all the authors interested to apply to open competition to exhibit in Atelje DADO Gallery in the year 2011. *The application has to contain : 1. data about the artist: biography, data for contact (phone and mail address) 2. data abot the work (works): - the year of creation, has the work been exhibited before - reproduction of the art work(s) in electronic form (JPG, min 1000hx1000w p or PDF), - simple simulation of the exhibition within the gallery space if it is an installation (images of the gallery and dimensions can be found on our web page) - DVD with the video if it is a video project - short description of the project (up to 2000 characters) 3. information about the costs of the project The gallery bears the costs: - one part of the realization of the project, if the costs exceed 500 € one work stays in the gallery's collection - travel and stay of the artist comming from abbroad during the preparation of the show - transport of the artworks - design and print of the promotional material (invitation card, catalog, poster) and PR activities - translation of the text - reproductions for the catalog - coctail The artist has to submit : - text from an art critic or personal statement - cv** Incomplete projects will not be taken into consideration.
